In the pasture management business, The company owns 13 dairy farms around Shanghai, Jiangsu province, Tianjin and other places. The total cows amounted to 13000.The average milk yield of per grown cows is 8.8 tons which is far higher than the domestic average yield. Every year, we provide 56000 tons’ high quality raw milk into market which has reached the advanced level of the European and American standards. With an average protein rate of 3.15%, milk adipose rate of 3.50%, and somatic cell counter of 250000 per ml.
The company manages Shanghai Cows Breeding Center which owns 161 breeding bulls. In recent years, the company has established joint venture companies with local dairy cow breeding center in Shanxi and Inner Mongolia province. Now it has become the largest cows breeding company in our country. Every year the company produces cow frozen semens in 4 million tubes and sales more than 3.6 million tubes and has occupied market share of more than 23%. The company has also formed a production capacity with annual output of 20,000 pieces of embryos and participates in the national “Myriad Embryos Enriching People Project" and “Cattle Improvement Project" in Tianjin and Guangxi province.
The company’s feed business has gotten a rapid development in feed industry in recent years with the establishment of core factory of annual output of 100,000 tons in Shanghai and the processing factories in Shandong, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, and Shanxi provinces. At present, the company sales business has covered the major dairy areas of total country with achieving the annual sales volume of 120000 tons’ concentrated feed, 15000 tons’ premix feed, and 60000 tons’ crude feed annually.
The company also makes sales by proxy related domestic and foreign famous animal husbandry products and cooperates with the American, Denmark, Japan, Israel, France and other dairy developed countries’ enterprise. It has become a famous animal husbandry products dealer and the main substitutive products are milking equipments, feeding equipments, milking accessories, veterinary medicine and equipments and so on.

The company formed a technology management committee and set up a research and development center in 2000. The technology management committee is responsible for promotion of dairy industry’s new technique and new processing and professional titles assessment of internal technical personnel. Thus to make the company form a good study and research atmosphere. The Research and Development Center is responsible for doing research and making development through new technology new processing, taking feedstuff sample, milk sample and blood samples’ analysis of company’s and customers’. Meanwhile, doing continuous research and development of new varieties types of feed.
R & D center also owns the fistula-fixed cattle base to develop depth dairy nutrition Research. At present, there are 2 doctors, 10 masters, 2 senior professional title staffs, and 12 intermediate grade staffs. At the beginning of year 2007, R & D centers were included in modern dairy technology system of Shanghai comprehensive experimental station by the Agriculture Ministry. The company always pays attention to intellectual property and protection, in recent years the company has applied six invention patents in new varieties types of feed and others, which three were authorized and the remaining three have entered a substantive review stage.

The national standard of "calf milk replacer" (GB/T20715-2006) have been implemented on March 1, 2007, Shanghai local standard of "large-scale dairy farm production technology specification" (DB31/T356 -2006) has started on June 13, 2006. Both are helped revised by our company. For standardizing technical staff’s operation, the company also set several enterprise standards, such as “technical specifications on dairy cow health care operations", " technical specifications on dairy cow breeding operation", ” technical specifications on dairy cow nutrition operation" and " technical specifications on raw milk quality and operation" and other technical specifications.
Our Company has strengthened certification of quality management system. Our subsidiary companies, Shanghai cows breeding center and feed companies have passed the ISO900: 2000 quality management system certification in August 2004. The company's dairy farms in Shanghai area owned pollution-free origin authentication of agricultural products in 2006. In 2007, the largest dairy farm around Shanghai area, Shanghai Bright Holstan Jinshan dairy farm past pollution-free origin authentication of agricultural products and was listed as modern agriculture demonstration zones by the Ministry of Agriculture and own China GAP certification by Dairy Association of China. Our Subsidiary feed companies have also adopted the HACCP certification.
